ABOUT

My story is one of moxie, voracious curiosity, and never-in-a-lifetime dreams that keep coming true. It’s been a wild ride so far, ranging from sharpening pencils for minimum wage to walking red carpets and giving interviews. I’ve worked with such geniuses as Tina Fey, Bob Martin, Rick Elice, Shawn Levy, Alan Menken, David Foster, Nell Benjamin, & Laurence O’Keefe. Each experience at their sides has been a masterclass.

Here’s my formal bio:

Armelle González Harper, a Puerto Rican-Texan writer, always brings her distinctive wit, collaborative spirit, and structural precision— honed while script coordinating Broadway musicals— to her television writing. Most recently the writers’ assistant for MGM+’s upcoming comedy “American Classic,” Armelle channels her cross-medium experience and unique cultural perspectives into boundary-pushing, character-driven comedies that dance between absurdism and universal emotional resonance. Her plays, performed in festivals and taught in universities nationwide, underscore a meticulous commitment to serving story, tone, and character in every scene. In a landscape of familiar flavors, Armelle serves homemade mofongo with a BBQ kick: unexpected, delightful, and impossible to forget.

“You got a lotta gumption, girl!”
